Welcome to The Studio B.
By booking our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms are designed to ensure a clear understanding between The Studio B and our clients.
1. Booking and Payment
Booking Confirmation: A booking is considered confirmed upon receipt of a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total session fee.
Payment Balance: The remaining balance is due on or before the day of the session.
Payment Methods: We accept payments via EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer), credit/debit cards, or cash.
2. Cancellation and Rescheduling
Client Cancellation:
Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled session will result in the forfeiture of the deposit.
Cancellations made within 48 hours of the session will require full payment of the session fee.
Rescheduling:
Clients may reschedule once without penalty if done at least 48 hours in advance.
Additional rescheduling requests may incur a fee.
The Studio B Cancellation:
In the unlikely event that The Studio B must cancel a session, clients will receive a full refund or may reschedule at no additional cost.
3. Session Conduct
Punctuality:
Clients are expected to arrive on time. Late arrivals may result in reduced session time.
Conduct:
Clients and their guests are expected to behave respectfully. The Studio B reserves the right to terminate a session without refund in cases of inappropriate behavior.
4. Use of Images
Photographer's Rights: The Studio B retains the right to use images for promotional purposes, including but not limited to our website, social media, and marketing materials.
Client Privacy: Clients who prefer their images not be used for promotional purposes must notify The Studio B in writing prior to the session.
5. Image Delivery and Storage
The delivery of edited images varies based on the type and scale of the photography session:
Mini Sessions & Portraits: Edited images are typically delivered within 3–5 business days.
Standard Sessions (e.g., Family, Maternity, Events): Expect delivery within 7–10 business days.
Weddings & Large-Scale Events: Due to the extensive nature of these sessions, delivery may take up to 4–6 weeks.
Please note that these timeframes are estimates and may be affected by factors such as peak seasons or specific client requirements. Clients will be informed of any significant delays.
Storage: Digital files will be stored for 3 months. Clients are encouraged to download and back up their images promptly.
6. Equipment
Damage: Clients are responsible for any damage to equipment or property caused during their session.
Prohibited Items: Smoking, alcohol, and illegal substances are not permitted.
7. Travel Fees
For on-location photography sessions, The Studio B charges a travel fee to cover transportation expenses. This fee is calculated based on the distance from our studio in Cape Town to the shoot location.
Standard Rate: R15.00 per kilometer, aligning with current fuel prices and vehicle operating costs.
Applicable Locations: This rate applies to all locations outside a 10 km radius from our studio.
Additional Costs: Clients are responsible for any additional expenses incurred during travel, such as toll fees, parking charges, or accommodation if overnight stays are required.
Quotation: A detailed travel fee estimate will be provided upon booking confirmation, based on the specific location and requirements of the shoot.
8. Liability
Personal Injury: The Studio B is not liable for any personal injuries sustained.
Loss or Damage: The Studio B is not responsible for loss or damage to personal items.
9. Force Majeure
The Studio B is not liable for failure to perform its obligations due to events beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, power outages, or other unforeseen circumstances.
10. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the jurisdiction of South African courts.
